Internship Overview

Join our team and help revolutionize retail! As a Developer Intern at our startup, you’ll get hands-on experience building features that sync real-time data across physical stores, e-commerce platforms, and marketplaces. You’ll work closely with a collaborative team to solve real-world problems using modern development tools and frameworks.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Location: Must be located in the Kansas City area.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
    • OPT and CPT students are welcome (must obtain work authorization through your school).
    • No employer sponsorship available now or in the future.

Internship Structure

  • Format: Remote with occasional in-person team meetings
  • Compensation:
    • One paid intern will be hired.
    • Up to two unpaid interns may be selected, with the potential to move to paid roles based on performance.
  • Path to Full-Time: All interns will be evaluated for full-time employment based on performance and value.

Expectations

  • Work a consistent 3-hour daily communication window (you choose the hours; they must remain consistent).
  • Attend weekly stand-up meetings on Mondays and code review on Fridays.
  • Track tasks and time using Asana.
  • Communicate with the team via Slack, email, Teams, and phone.
  • Be available for occasional in-person meetings.

Tasks May Include (Based on Skillset)

  • Developing RESTful APIs using C# and .NET web services
  • Building and optimizing backend classes and business logic
  • Designing and refining front-end components (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Creating and updating JavaScript code for dynamic interfaces
  • Modifying or developing custom WordPress plugins
  • Working with SQL databases: tables, stored procedures, triggers, views
  • Utilizing DevExpress controls in C# applications for rich UI/UX
  • Debugging, performance tuning, and participating in code reviews
  • Writing clear, maintainable, well-documented code
