Three open roles, and an honest description of each.
Syncrostore is a small team in Prairie Village, Kansas building the software multi-vendor stores run their business on — the register, the vendor ledgers, the settlements, the payouts. When something breaks, a store cannot take money. That shapes how we hire.
Small company, unusually consequential software.
We started in 2022 with two people and one stubborn problem: every POS on the market assumed a store had one owner, and none of them could handle a building with three hundred independent sellers in it. We built the one that could.

Three positions. Expand one to read the detail.
All three are hybrid in the Kansas City metro and full-time. Applications go to the same place: a resume and a cover letter to careers@syncrostore.com.
Support Specialist
You are the person a store owner reaches when settlement day is not going to plan. Most of that arrives as tickets through our support portal; a small amount arrives on the emergency line, when a register has stopped taking payment and the answer cannot wait.
A good week looks like clearing the queue without leaving anyone guessing, noticing that three tickets are the same underlying confusion, and writing the knowledge base article that stops the fourth. You will spend real time inside stores’ actual data — reading a vendor ledger to work out why a payout came up short is ordinary work here, not an escalation.

Software Engineer
You will work on the parts of Syncrostore that move money: the register, per-line vendor attribution, commission and rent rules, settlements, and ACH payouts. This is not a greenfield product. It is a system real stores depend on this afternoon, and the interesting problems are about correctness rather than novelty.
A good week looks like shipping something a store asked for by name, then reading that store’s data afterwards to confirm it did what they meant. We work in C# and SQL Server on the back end, with much of the settlement logic living in stored procedures, and JavaScript on the front. You will move between the two rather than pick one.

Customer Success Manager
You own what happens between a store signing and a store being genuinely live: the vendor list, the inventory import, the open balances, the go-live day, and the first settlement that has to come out right. Most stores are switching from something that half worked, and they are nervous. Your job is that they stop being nervous.
A good week looks like a store running its first settlement without calling anyone, and a second store telling you what they actually need before they churn rather than after. You will be the loudest voice in the building about what the product should do next, because you are the one hearing it.

Email us. That is the whole process.
Send a resume and a cover letter, with the role in the subject line. If you have something that represents you better than a resume — a portfolio, a GitHub profile, a few paragraphs about something you built or fixed — send that too. We read everything and we reply either way.
We do not publish salary ranges, and we would rather say so than write “competitive”. Compensation is a real conversation on the first call, before you have spent hours on the process.
Reading these first will make your opening paragraph better than most of the ones we get.
